When I was married, so much of our time time was spent discussing what everyone else had and what they were doing with themselves. No matter how much time and wealth you may have, it will never be enough to keep up with everyone. Obsessing over this is a trap. The way to freedom is refusing to keep up with the Joneses no matter how wonderful they tell you their world is. That freedom is something the Joneses will never have and is something they will always envy.
